How does the Sports Nutrition Advice Programme work?
STEP 1: Intake interview (initial consultation)
The first session is our initial consultation, during which I will discuss your goals, sporting background and current situation. To prepare for this, you will complete a detailed intake form, which we will go through together during the session. This will form the basis for your personalised programme.
STEP 2: Dietary history
A dietary assessment involves keeping track of what you eat, drink and do in terms of exercise, as well as how you feel, for a week. I analyse your actual eating and lifestyle habits: timing, energy balance, hydration and recovery. By combining all this information, I identify patterns and opportunities that you might not have noticed yourself. This forms the basis for your personalised sports nutrition advice.
STEP 3: Personalised advisory report
Once I’ve reviewed your weekly log, I’ll put together your personalised sports nutrition report, complete with specific recommendations on what, when and how much you should eat and drink around training sessions and competitions. You’ll receive practical tips on pre-workout, in-exercise and recovery nutrition, plus a hydration strategy. The report includes areas for improvement, sample menus and snack options tailored to your schedule.
STEP 4: Review of the report (second consultation)
The second session involves going through your advice report. I’ll walk you through all the recommendations, answer any questions you may have, and help you plan concrete steps. We’ll make sure the advice is practical and works within your daily routine and training schedule, so you can put it into practice successfully!
